On to morning stars

There are quite a few benefits of being friends with local bloggers and one of the best? Being in the same size range. Rachel let me borrow this beautiful American Rag dress. It's definitely a little out of my style comfort range (super form fitting dress, EEK), but I am in love with the hippie vibe and the low cut back. The weather surprised me with a 65 degree day and I couldn't resist wearing this out.

When it comes to lips, my lips demand high quality lip stick. Anything sold at the drug store melts off my lips and makes me look like I tried applying it with a crayon. Which is why I haven't fully committed to loving lipstick. I had (and lost) the perfect red and have been on the hunt for a replacement. Like everything else, I prefer pink and coral, but red is a nice basic color pop. My friend's lady showed up a couple weeks ago wearing this beautiful matte Sephora lip stain. I bought it the next day! It was only $12. I was weary of a lip stain as it's like lip gloss, but it's long lasting and deep. I highly recommend that line.

  5. It's perfect that the shape of the back fits your tattoos. I don't know how you give some of these things back when you do the clothing swaps!

One of my goals for 2013 is to wear lipstick regularly. I am still learning how to put it on properly and believe that I don't look OTT but I am looking to invest in a couple of shades. May have to hunt down the UK Sephora on the weekend.

  6. The entire outfit looks amazing and so comfy! And I love the red lipstain...I'm a really big lipstick fan myself. But at the moment not wearing it as often as I like because I've got braces...I also really love your tattoo!! That is the cutest!

  7. That dress is gorgeous on you! The delicate lace is so pretty. I have tried a few lip stains, and I like them. They're more reliable than lip stick if you don't fill your lips, which I never do. :) <3

  17. You look gorgeous! <3 I love, love this outfit!

I totally know what you mean about quality lip products! I don't use any lip products from the drugstore besides chapstick/lip moisturizing stuff because it comes off so easily and I get tired of having to re-aply it 20 times a day! :-P Glad you found something that works!

Also, I am seriously in love with your hat. I've never been much of a hat person, but last summer I borrowed my sisters big, pink, floppy hat and I've been wanting to wear more ever since. I just need to find the perfect black one...
