On the Pier

santa3

I must be a bad fashion blogger because I only took two sets of photos in California. Maybe I'm just lazy, but mostly we were busy. In a good kind of way.

These were taken at the lovely Santa Monica Pier. I was so excited to see the water, the sand, and the mountains. It was beautiful and calming. It was California chilly this day, so I dressed a little more "fall", but it was the perfect amount of warmth and comfort.

We ate at a lot of places, but my favorites were Pizza Rev (Chipotle style pizza shop for under $8!), The Local Peasant (brunch), and the Counter (build your own burgers). This also pretty much sums up my food life: veggie burgers, brunch and pizza.

I went to Disneyland for the first time and it WAS awesome and exhausting. But at least all three of us got our Minnie ears. To contrast with that, we also went to the Museum of Death. But only because we thought it would be lighthearted, cheesy, and funny. But we quickly learned that it was NOT that. It was scary, creepy, and graphic. So yeah, don't.

And on another note, if you feel so inclined, I resurrected my short lived Facebook for the blog. Come follow along for updates more than 140 characters long (aka twitter my fav social network). Right here! Do it.

  7. Sounds like a great trip! Glad you had a wonderful time. And sometimes it's okay to forget to take pictures, that means you were too busy doing exciting things! (Which seems true for you.)

PS. The pictures in this post with your purse on the ground make me super nervous because I always think they'll somehow fall into the water haha!

  10. You look cute in that sheer top, and how neat that your sister made the hat. Talented!

Minnie Mouse ears? So fun! (the death museum sounds...not so much!)

So glad you had a good time.

  11. I am still fantasizing about Pizza Rev! I keep telling Kevin that I want to go there with him but I'm pretty sure he thinks I'm joking. I love how these pictures turned out, you really can't go wrong with Victor's camera. Unless I wanted to take a close up shot... I think by the time you had to leave the camera stopped hating me!
