After what seems like months of planning, the Goodwill Good Style event was last night. It was AMAZING. I don't know if I mentioned it before, but I only knew two of my models (finals week is a bad time to ask people to commit). Anyways, I never did a fitting because we all live in different areas and have busy lives. I did all my shopping, styling, etc. based off the photos they sent me and their sizes. I was a little freaked out, but by some crazy chance -- everything fit. And not even just "fit". I mean, everything looked STUNNING and even better? All of my models kept their looks. Which was very exciting for me.
A lot of what I wanted out of hair and make-up was less than my vision, but it happens and it still looked good going down the runway.
Being backstage was VERY hectic and exactly like you'd imagine. We hardly had time to eat or socialize or do anything except sweat a lot. It was a whirlwind of excitement and I had so much fun!
As soon as I get my hands on the professional photos, I'll be sharing those as my runway pictures are less than worthy.
It was a great night and everyone did such a beautiful job! It was an unreal experience.
And my collection looked wonderful to the tune of River City Extension's "Welcome to Pittsburgh" and Jamie Lidell's "Another Day".
