Something is haunting you

When the spring weather hits, my first thought is bare legs, but when the nights are still chilly, my second thought is maxi skirts. They're cozy, breezy, and I'm never too hot or too cold. This American Apparel maxi is probably one of the best skirts I own. My lovely boyfriend bought it for me as a birthday present. I believe in Chicago! Which is even more awesome because we went to see the Avett Brothers and it was maybe their best show. And we would know, we've seen them in multiple states, multiple cities, multiple times.

This top was from our huge clothing swap last year and it's completely inappropriate unless of course you have a bandeau. Turns out those things are pretty handy. Even if they smash your chest.

Whenever I look at my outfit shots, I start to think that Ohio might be the windiest state, ever.

  10. This is so adorable! I agree, in New England I keep wanting bare legs but know it gets chilly. Maxis are perfect! This one looks like such a staple, and it looks perfect with the hat :)

  11. You look fantastic in a maxi! It makes me want to try one really badly. I always shied away from them because of my height, but you work them so well. Plus, the bandeau under that tank is such a great touch.

Also that windy picture = the best.

  16. I love seeing maxi dresses on you Jessica! I feel like you rock them better than taller gals I know - which is great being a short gal myself, I always feel like there is some rule saying I can't wear this length of dress.

    Gorgeous! xo Marisa

  18. I LOVE the last photo :) even if I know how annoying wind could be, I just couldn't help but smile. Also, the maxi skirt looks awesome on you and it's always nice when you can link a piece of clothing to a memory <3

  19. the wind always makes fun photos I think! But that's prob me being a desert gal saying that. anyway, i LOVE the long skirt on you, looks perfectly breezy as you say. Great w/ the hat & fun printed top. And I might just have to save this to show ppl any time they say they're not tall enough for maxis because it's the most dumb excuse ever as you looking amazing is proof!

  20. How do you pull off a maxi? I need to learn your ways because I adore this but always feel like I am wearing some giant person's clothes when I try maxis on (and they are usually 8x too long)
