You Won't Feel a Thing

To say that black and white stripes are in right now (are they ever not, really?) would be an understatement. I'm not a fan of the vertical Beetle Juice look, but I do think there's something classic about the print + color combination. I borrowed this dress from Elana. If you haven't realized yet, every single lady in Flock Together has the BEST wardrobes, ever. It's truly a joy to have access to so many wonderful closets.

I saw the Evens on the 4th and it was phenomenal as always. Afterwards we headed to my friend's place. He has a high rise apartment in Akron with a balcony! We watched the fireworks from there and got to see all the surrounding cities too for a good two hours. We had snacks, good music, and played Cards Against Humanity. It was one of the better holiday's I've had in awhile. Plus have any of you played Cards Against Humanity? Um, hilarious! Also I'm a little too modest to read MOST of those cards out loud...

Tonight, I'm off to see Margot and the Nuclear So and So's AKA one of my favorite bands. Have you noticed that I really really love music yet?

  6. You're right; stripes are always in. But you look fantastic in this dress, so it is not hard to see why the trend is always on!

  9. Ooh, the dress looks AMAZING on you! Like what Ashley said, it really does suit you well. I always wish I had multiples of all of my items so that way we could all have them. You can seriously borrow this whenever you want though, it looks fantastic on you. And no worries about not sending it back yet, no rush! And as always, I'm jealous of your ability to pull off cute hats.

Also, Cards Against Humanity is the absolute best. All of my friends are really vulgar, so everyone has a field day with that game haha

  10. Cool dress! I recently got a vertical striped (Beetle Juice) dress and it's so ugly. I got it on eBay and I loved it on the model. I looked like a basketball referee when I tried it on. So Akron, Huh? I've been there a few times. Used to live in PA near the OH border :)

  14. I definitely like horizontal black and white stripes better than vertical, even though vertical ones are probably more flattering on me. Loving this dress on you. Once again, you're the master of combining delicate and edgy pieces!

  15. This dress looks great on you! I love that you're getting to see a lot of bands (it seems) recently. Summer is always the best time to roam around to hear bands, I think anyway!

I've heard of Cards Against Humanity many times before and only got to play it once with drunk people (so of course, it never ended haha) It was pretty crazy.

  22. I personally don't think you can ever go wrong with a black&white stripey dress! Such a basic and lovely staple! :) The one you're wearing is gorgeous and I love both the way it fits you and how you've style it (somehow it just feels so much 'you', love it!)

  24. I loooove stripes and yeah, this looks amazing with that belt. Your hair looks so red here, I love how it's always changing!

  25. There is a definite difference in b/w vertical stripes and b/w horizontal ones. I love your dress! Glad you got o hear your bands play!

  26. I don't know why but this outfit looks kind of french to me. I think the black and white stripe craze can either look really good or bad depending on how you wear it. I constantly see black and white skimpy striped dresses teamed with bad fake tan and awful make up. However, when it's classily done like this it looks awesome
