Nothing to write home about

Saturday afternoon, I headed to Kent State and picked up the lovely, Lauren. We headed to my favorite local Village Discount Outlet. Where we learned it was 50% off day. Let's talk about madness. A random lady tried to take a dress out of Lauren's hands. Luckily, that didn't happen and we both scored some gems for VERY little money. After the exhausting trip and a day of no eating, we headed to downtown Akron for photographs and my favorite restaurant, the Lockview. Lauren had never been there and seeing her face upon her first bite was perfect. I was very very proud.

Hanging out with bloggers is A LOT of fun. There's so much to talk about that other people don't understand or want to talk about. Page views, followers, editing, big bloggers, opportunities, what goes into posts, and everything else. Blogging is a huge and weird beast, but it's nice to have someone who totally gets it. Plus, Lauren is really sweet and funny. After dinner, we had a really strange experience with custard? I thought it was an ice cream place, but it was custard? And I still don't understand what we ate. Some little girls asked us if we were going to a party, I answered yes, because, why not?

This outfit was a "Last Hurrah" summer outfit. At least, I think so. I've worn all these items a million times and it was so hot, I couldn't imagine wearing anything more. The temps have dropped and I'm doing what I can to wear every layer in my wardrobe. So, while it's nothing to write home about, it's definitely a very me, very summer look.

  2. This sounds like such a fantastic day!!! I can't believe someone tried to take something out of Lauren's hands, craaaazy!
Love this summery look, one can never go wrong with polka dots ;)

  3. Man oh man I wish there were more bloggers by me! I have yet to find any :-( and I'm pretty sure even though my husband pretends to care . . . he really has no idea what I'm talking about when I try to tell him these things LOL I love your last summer outfit! Perfect for a party--real or fake!

  4. Your hair is so blonde!

I'm a bit jealous of you being able to meet up with bloggers. It sounds like you and Lauren had a blast.

  5. I won't lie, I'm a tad jealous how you get to meet up with other bloggers, especially one as sweet as Lauren! I love reading her blog and seeing her girly outfits. Always so cute.
I'm digging the hits of pink in your outfit with the bag and floral crown. So pretty! Against a black and white outfit, even better <3

  6. Sounds like a fun day! I'm ready to go on a thrifting BINGE lately. Lucky I don't drive or I'd be broke. You should do a post of all your gems you talked about! Also, make it feel like Fall here too :(

  7. Ugh, I wish I could come to Akron and talk about blogging and eat good with you SO. BADLY. One of these days, right?

This polka dot skirt is amazing. Definitely a perfect "end of summer" outfit.

  8. Hahaha i like the custard confusion- that's kind of disappointing if you're expecting ice cream. and how fun you got to meet a blogger- i once met with elana and i felt like i could do that for hoursss :)

  10. Ugh you guys are so adorable. Sounds like you had a wonderful time! Apart from the crazy thrifting lady. Man, people sometimes.

Love your skirt! You are so cute!

  11. Sounds like a fun day! I wish I had blogger friends but I just have a bunch of guy friends who tell me they read my blog.. it's weird lol. Your hair looks great and you look so adorable in this polka dot skirt. Was the custard at least frozen? I've heard of frozen custard shops but that would be weird it if was just regular custard.

  12. I love the big dots and the pop of pink! :) I also agree that it's cool to hang with other bloggers. People who actually get it and know what the community is like and whatnot. I wish I had some that lived near me!

  13. I love that floral crown!! And the cute purse!!
