Vending machine intelligence

Oops! I accidentally took an unexpected blogging break. Though, I must admit, it was very needed. I had been feeling pretty uninspired and overwhelmed with balancing school, life, the internet and everything else. Most of all, I was feeling completely lost within my wardrobe. It happens, I know. Well, the reason behind my break was that I moved! My boyfriend and I got a very adorable place. This is my first time living on my own. It's been absolutely wonderful. My mood has improved, my wardrobe has been rediscovered (if only because I had to go through it all) and while we are still getting settled, it's nice to finally get the internet up and running.

Anyways, now that I am done rambling, let's talk about Saturday. On Saturday, I hung out with some of the best local bloggers including, Mandi, Rachel, Megan, Abby and Jessica. We had planned to head to the Orchard, but it was ice cold and raining. So, we went and bought stuff to make an apple crisp. We headed back to Mandi's where she and Abby made us an apple crisp. Mandi had a cocktail of sorts ready for us, hummus with veggies, and other treats. We listened to music, talked blogs, and played the Game of Things. Which was A LOT of fun. Plus we got to spend some time with Mandi's beautiful baby girl. Not many kids melt my heart, but goddamn, that little Lucy is the most darling kid I've ever seen.

I love hanging out at people's houses, enjoying company and letting blog talk filter in. It's so calming and fun. Plus, we got to know each other a lot better. I can honestly say, these ladies are some of the most fun and nice gals I've ever met. Not to mention, they're all beautiful, intelligent, fun, and really good at what they do. There's nothin' better. Maybe next time we'll actually get to hit the thrift stores!

Also look at how wonderful Mandi's place is: here. It was so cozy!

  1. Absolutely gorgeous dress! I am in love with red, but I'm just now realizing that I don't own that many clothing items in this color! This needs to be fixed asap :). You look beyond cute!

  15. Jessica that jacket is absolutely killer! You pull it off flawlessly, I know of none other that could wear it quite like you. Sounds like such a fun day you had too-even if plans did get changed. I really need to make some apple crisp while the season lasts! And gosh, I find myself wanting to take more blogging breaks lately too. Perhaps it's because school is just super overwhelming-as you said.

  18. FUN! And I'll admit I'm a little jealous when I hear of bloggers meeting up... :( I know there are other NZ bloggers, but I don't connect with them as much as the US blogs I follow! *sigh: ex-pat living*

  19. Ah - I hear you! I've been in the same mood lately too - just from the business of life in general. Best wishes settling in to your new space though! Gotta say - I love how you work the slouchy hat into your outfits. I have so many of them, but can never seem to make them work properly with a dress. The red dress is completely perfect on you!
