Incandescent Days

I have such a love/hate relationship with blazers. I want to love them and when I find an outfit they feel okay with, I'm like, "yeah, this is perfect. I'm warm and I look more put together than I would in a cardigan," But than I look at photos and I'm like, "are my shoulders that broad? Is my head that small?" I know my head is far from small, so obviously I start questioning the blazer. This blazer is obviously perfect and I wore it a million times last year (sup, next remix post?) But I am never fully in love when I look at it in photos. Whatever. It's bright and it kept me warm. This skirt was borrowed from Ashley and like everything I've ever worn of Ashley's, it's perfect. Ashley has the wardrobe of my dreams and she's the kindest of ladies and shares it.

I know its pretty useless to discuss my hair on here because I realize my hair looks different in photos than it does in real life and I know it's pretty boring. Which is to say that I got my hair dyed and cut. The overly yellow tints are gone and so are the dead brown ends. Though for the first time I think these photos are pretty accurate as far as color goes.

It was approximately fifteen degrees when I took these, so please forgive my awkward poses. November has decided it's February weather. Currently Ohio is in the middle of a snow storm and they're calling for ten or more inches. Looks like I'm not leaving my house for a few days. You'd think by now I'd be used to this? Nope, nope, never.

Outfit Details:
Blazer: H&M
Skirt: Borrowed from Ashley via Flock Together
Sweater: Target (little girls section)
Fleece Lined Tights: Amazon
Boots: Forever 21 (gift, old)
Belt: Swapped

  4. Your hair looks awesome! But I thought it looked awesome before too, so. . . =P I really like the bold color combination of the heart-printed shirt and the blazer. And you rock the blazer--no need to second-guess!

  7. You remind me of Debbie Harry in these pictures and she's one of my idols so that's compliment ;) The blazer looks great on you. And 15 degrees?? Wow. It's 75 here haha, I can't even imagine.

  9. Lol, your shoulders don't look board to me, nor your face small, but I do feel that way about certain blazers too. I like you this one, if that helps!

  13. I always feel the exact same way in blazers!! I love them but think my shoulders look wide in them :) This is a fun one- love the color and it looks great with this outfit. I don't think I could ever get used to that weather either!

  15. Your blazer is so perfect! It's tough to find one that has the right proportions and doesn't accentuate your shoulders too much, but I've learned that a well-made blazer is a really great wardrobe staple.

  16. Man I'm so late seeing this post but I had to comment because I have that same little girl sweater!! It's a little small in the shoulders on me but I love the print so much. I think your teal blazer looks awesome with it.
