When I was younger I basically lived in band t-shirts. Since I still have all of them, I figure, why not wear them? Especially in the winter months when sometimes a dress simply won't cut it. This is a shirt for the band Boys Night Out. They were (and still are) one of my all-time favorite bands. Trainwreck is probably still in my top favorite and most listened to records. It's a brilliant concept album about murder. Sound dark? Well, it is, but I like it a little dark sometimes. BNO was a significant part of my high school/early college years and I met some amazing ladies at their shows and have so many memories surrounding their music. Plus this shirt is pink and y'all know how much I love pink.

I scored these boots from the most recent ModCloth sale. My former combat boots were pretty beat up and I had been too cheap to replace them. I, however, found these gems for about $13. That's a price I couldn't pass up and I'm glad I didn't. These are strangely comfortable and roomy enough for thick tights + boots.

  1. After seeing this shirt on instagram on sunday I put together a playlist of all my favourite music from back in the day including these guys, thanks for the inspiration ;)
Love the bank tee with that skirt, such a great combination. I need to rustle up my old band tees!

  2. These pictures are gorgeous! I love the snowy background. I think you're the only person I know that can make a band tee look cute and feminine :)

  3. I love me a good band tee! (I miss them so much!) I also love your sunglasses!

  4. All about this. All about all of it. PINK.

Those sunnies are pretty awesome too!

  6. Love this shirt & omg it's been a long time since I've listened to BNO. Might have to revisit that soon. Oh and those boots... swoon!

  9. Modcloth boots in the sale is a serious win. I am the same with the t-shirts. I used to be all about the band tees and now rarely wear them. Need to find more ways to bring them back into my wardrobe. So long as they aren't totally lame now. heheh.

  10. Gorgeous outfit! Really loving your shoes :)

  11. Plus it shows you love of music.

  12. Wow $13 is an awesome price! I should've bought a pair! I don't have boots like that and they always look so cool on people. I really like yours with this awesome outfit. I love styling band t-shirts too, as you know, so I always enjoy seeing you style up yours. This shirt is really really cool. I've never heard that band and I probably should amend that asap.

  13. Ooooh, I recently had to discard my combat boots too since they were falling apart. I'll have to check out Modcloth...
Anyway, I love the matching pinks in your tee and beanie - you match everything so well!

  14. $13?! That's amazing! A little jelly over here. This outfit is great - I love the pink, grey, and black. And that sweater is cozy wonderfulness!

  15. The deal on the boots is amazing. I love your sunglasses.

  16. I have too many old band shirts to count, I should start styling them like you do instead of wearing them just to clean around the house. I love that skirt too, the detail of it is so cute!

  17. Such a cute outfit and that snow looks so lovely.
