stay home

At our clothing swap two weeks ago, I snagged this beautiful coat. It belonged to Hilary and I have never met a coat that made me feel so classy before. It's not entirely warm enough for this just yet, but it is perfect for quick trips to indoor places. . The rest of my outfit is pretty basic because well, I wanted the coat to do the talkin'.

In my last post, I wasn't wearing pants! I get really emotional thinking about wearing pants. I don't have a pant body. Not now, not ever. They were leggings with tights underneath. I had shorts on. I know defending myself against pants is silly. But I am not a pants girl and I don't want to lose my no-pant cred.

This is what in front of my house looks like with a ton of snow. In case you were wondering.

Outfit Details:
Coat: Swapped w/ Hilary
Dress: Swapped
Tights: Express
Boots: Zara
Belt: Thrift
Hat: Neff

  1. I really love the coat! It is a very classy piece! I much prefer skirts and dresses to pants as well, but it's been so cold. I can't wait to have my dresses back! And nearly none of my skirts fit or look right at the moment.

  2. That coat is gorgeous and as you say, very elegant!

  3. Girl you don't have to defend yourself against hating pants, I've been anti-pants for most of my life. I finally found a style that works for me so I'm slowly converting.
This is such a great outfit, LOVE the coat, a gorgeous piece for sure

  4. Oh my goodness, that coat sure is beautiful!

  5. That is definitely a lot of snow! I know what you mean about no-pants (or as I would say no-trousers), once you've built up a style people are thrown by the addition of trousers. I wore jeans once in front of my mother-in-law and she didn't know what was going on. :)

  6. That coat definitely look's very classy on you. I like how you paired it with grey tights and a grey beanie. I don't really like to wear pants either haha.

  7. Ugh, I'm sick of the's come to the point where slightly above 35 degrees is a treat! Love the coat that you swapped for, it's such a mod style. Pants can be very unforgiving and uncomfortable sometimes, so I feel you! I'm not anti-pant but I don't think there's anything wrong with that :)

  8. I love your jacket! What a great find.

  9. your no-pants cred is intact! I feel ya

  10. You don't have to like pants if you don't want to! Dresses and skirts are more fun anyway. Though I have a couple pairs of pants I really like, they're way harder to remix and make look cute.
But anyway, this coat is so awesome! I just love it. What a great swap! It's definitely super classy looking.

  17. Loved that you clarified what you were wearing in the last post - no worries, you are certainly the pant-less queen. (I mean that in the best, and not awkward, way possible haha!) Also, who would give up this coat!? It's fabulous!
