This is my new favorite dress, but these are not my favorite photos. It was bright and it was windy. The hat isn't my favorite even though I keep trying to make it work. Shortly after these photos, I swapped the hat for a slouchy pink one & the wedges with Mary Jane's. It worked a lot better in my opinion. But you live, you learn, and you share it with the internet.
This is the second dress I scored from Swapdom. Are you familiar? It's a cool concept, but I have a few gripes with it. It's an online swapping service, but 1) it takes forever. I actually forgot about the site completely 2) Shipping is $12. I ship packages on the regular and it costs me under $5 per package. To me, that's a huge turn off. $12 could buy a few thrift store dresses or two $5 pizza's. That is serious. If you want to think realistically about your purchases, measure everything in pizza. It puts things into perspective.
But hey, the idea is great and this dress is incredible. I have gotten so many weird responses to it. My favorite from my five-year-old nephew, Weston, he said, "COOL DRESS. YOU HAVE ZOMBIE HANDS ON YOU." Yes, Weston. Zombie hands. Which is much cooler than the strange dude who said, "That's a real hands-on dress," Um, no?
