OOTD; let's paint our teeth green

IMG_8259

I've mentioned it before how green is just so not my color, but this dress is something special. I didn't want to give it up, at all. It's lightweight and detailed enough that I was able to keep the accessories to a minimum. Which is great because I go through periods of being obsessed with accessories to moments of dreading the idea of wearing them. I am somewhere in between right now.

I got my hair cut almost a month ago (well, a week short of a month) and it's definitely been a learning curve. I'm getting slightly better at styling, I hardly have to wash it, and it's growing like crazy. I'm pretty into my decision to cut it all off. Except maybe the humidity that is suddenly giving me mad waves. Where was this when I had longer hair?!

I've been keepin' things real chill around here. Just reading book after book after book and re-watching Gossip Girl because it seemed about time to re-live the fabulous life of the Upper East Side.

  1. Sounds like you've got the right idea of what to do in summer- read and catch up on shows (or rewatch, as the case may be!)

A lovely color on you too!

  2. I remember ordering this dress back when it was available at ModCloth and it looked HORRIBLE on me! I was SO sad but now I love seeing it on you because it's wonderful. You truly look good with any style of hair, but I'm so into this short cut on you.

  3. This dress fits you perfectly! New hair does have a learning curve but you are totally rocking this. I LOVE it on you! I'm in the market for a new teen drama, I think this is the longest I've lived without one!

  5. I've started reading a lot lately too, and it's been the best feeling. Aha, I've missed being absorbed into books!
Anyway, I still just absolutely love your pixie cut, and I hope you keep it. It fits your style so perfectly!

  6. This shade of green looks great on you! I love the double-layered collar, and I think vintage-y dresses look so cool with short hair. I personally often forget about accessories being an option, so I appreciate clothes that do the work for me :)

  7. I have no idea why you think green isn't your color. It looks great with your skin and your eyes. Plus, the dress itself is just so pretty. I think you're crazy!

I'm glad you decided to cut your hair too. I love the change and it really suits you. I want to see these waves!

  9. I don't know what you're talking about - you TOTALLY rock green! It looks smashing with your skin tone and blonde locks (speaking of which, short hair totally rules - isn't it the best!?)

  10. I love the dress, it is just the perfect amount of detailed especially with that collar. I love just watching shows and reading books during the summer too. Also I have found that happens after cutting my hair short like it'll grow back a slightly different texture then before.

  12. This dress is so so cute and it goes so well with your hair! Dude I totally started Gossip Girl a few weeks ago. I'm on season two now. It's weird they never mention who Serena's dad is? Or maybe they talk about it later.. Is it just me or is Chuck Bass the original Edward Cullen/Robert Pattinson? He's so vampirey!! -♥- Rachel (For the Birds)
