OOTD; learn to live without

I have been crushin' on this dress for close to a year now, but I'm also really cheap and could NOT justify an $84 price tag. It went on sale for $40 and I almost bought it, but I waited until it was under $30. Persistence, man. It pays off. Though from the photos I thought a) it was white b) it was cloth. It's champagne and it's silky as hell. It's basically 100 times more fancier than I anticipated. Which is never a bad thing.

Got another hair cut because pixies are high maintenance. Which is unfortunate for me because I'm a low maintenance kind of gal. Though getting my mullet trimmed did make me feel like a brand new person. My hair is finally cooperating with this cut. I'm very into it lately. I mean, I wake up, wet my hair to smooth it down, spray in some spray wax, mess it up, and boom, I'm out the door. It's pretty much the best.

  2. Gah you look stunning. Your hair looks great, and I admire your persistence on waiting for this dress to go on sale! I'm so swayed by whether I think it'll be sold out and gone forever!

  3. I totally thought it was a white cloth dress too! That's such a wonderful surprise and it's absolutely stunning on you. I'm glad you're keeping up with your hair. Like we talked about before, the cutest hairstyles are always the ones with the most upkeep. I'm in the salon every three weeks bleaching my roots. P.S. I'm jealous that you're wearing tights right now. Not fair!

  5. I'm so happy you're sticking with the pixie because it looks SO good on you! Good score on the dress- I love when it works out like that and it's way more satisfying when it doesn't cost an arm and a leg! I was tempted by so much in the last Modcloth sale but somehow resisted... I'm sure I'll regret missing out on cute stuff :)

  7. The dress is very pretty--fancy or casual. I love the hair but I never realized that a haircut that SEEMS low maintenance would require such . . . maintenance. Nonetheless I wish I could pull one off.

  20. Your hair is adorable. I miss having short hair, but I know if I cut it again I will hate myself. Plus the whole mullet thing, I hate that phase of the hair cut.

  24. I love the short hair on you so so much! It looks awesome. I've been really loving having short hair this year. It definitely requires a lot more hair cuts to look good though! Good thing my mom does hair or I'd be extra poor!

Anyway, this dress is one I've been admiring too so I'm happy to see someone wearing it. It's adorable! I had no idea it was fancier either. It'd be great for a date or Valentine's Day or something too. I really like the pink tights paired with it.
