Bad Blood

Earlier this year when I was shopping for the Goodwill Fashion Show I found this dress. I wore it non-stop for a week in the summer and forgot about it. I typically prefer fitted clothing, but I couldn't resist the 90's vibe. I feel like next time I must add combat boots and some ill fitting plaid or leather and channel my inner Angela Chase.

In other exciting news, my brother and his wife just had a baby girl! She's the first girl in the family and while I don't think her big brothers are too interested yet, I know we all are! They waited until the arrival to know the sex and the excitement was well worth the surprise. Her name is Ever Iris and she's adorable. I have no intentions of having children of my own, so it sure is wonderful to be an Aunt and see them grow into rad people.

  3. How crazy, I just posted about this dress! I thrifted it, too! Haha! I swear the same things filter through the thrift stores. It looks great on you :) Such an easy dress, right? I've seen it in yellow too, let's hope we find it, eh? Love the socks you paired with it here anyway!

  7. I love the 90s vibe of this and it's super cute with and without the sweater. I love taking summery dresses through the seasons- I think it's refreshing to see the bright colors in the winter once in awhile! Congrats on the niece!! I have 2 nephews and hope for a niece at some point too- even though my nephews are so awesome :) I'm with you on no plans for having kids, but being an aunt rules!

  8. Congratulations on the new addition to the family! I love the name that they chose - it's different without being outlandish, and it's very sweet. I would love to be an aunt, actually, but it doesn't look like that will be happening any time soon.
Cute take on a 90s look. The cleaned up Courtney Love style suits you really well, IMO.

  9. Congrats on being an auntie again! I have to see a picture of little Ever, I'm sure she's a beauty.

I too bought a dress like this a few months ago and I love to wear it pretty much exactly like you are right now. It's nice to switch things up every once in awhile. I'm also super jealous of wherever you are in these pictures. To live in a place where fall actually looks like fall.....

  12. You're definitely channeling your inner Angela Chase, just a little less grungy. Those knee high socks take it to the next level of cute and practical. And congrats on the new niece!
