You Won't Know

We got our first snow and it was followed by the coldest day, ever. I figured this was the perfect time to dress seasonally inappropriately. I almost wish there was more snow for these photos and that might be the only time I ever say that.

This is one of those dresses that was too expensive to buy that sold out in my size when it went on sale. I borrowed Ashley's over the summer, she sold it, and I cried. But she helped me track down this XS one. It's too small in the bust, however, it's nothing that some good tailoring can't fix. Basically, this is the dreamiest of dream dresses. It's one that I need to learn how to style more casually to get more wear out of.

Outfit Details:
Dress: ModCloth (swapped)
Tights: American Apparel
Shoes: Kohl's
Belt: Thrifted
Cardigan: Lucky Brand (swapped)

  1. So pretty! This dress runs too small in the bust for everyone who has it, I think (Ashley and I were just talking about this, hah!). This dress is perfect with the snow, somehow.

  5. Ah this dress is lovely I remember when you styled it over the summer. I hate that, I often find a dress will fit everywhere else except in the bust its the worst. Also these photos are so magical with the snow. But I think Id be shivering trying to take them, Im gonna try to stay indoors for my photos now, I don't think I can handle the Chicago wind.

  6. Oh my word, I would've cried too - this dress is a dreamboat! I love it and am so glad you were able to track down another one.
Hahaha, and if only we could snap our fingers to create the perfect setting for outfits. This is a good place you chose for this look though, and the little patches of snow add to it. I know what you mean though - I've got this really cool idea that's going to require a big snowfall. Which, I absolutely hate, but if it'd all melt the next day, it'd be perfect. :P

  7. Oh, you look like a winter fairy princess (or queen if you'd prefer to have complete control!) and the colours of your dress remind me of cotton candy (if only you knew how much I love cotton candy, then you'd know how much of a compliment that is).

  8. That dress is so amazing, I adore it! Oh and it feels good to see it has snowed in other countries before it snowed in Switzerland.. :D

  9. Gah! This is beautiful! Such a perfect dress and I agree that a bit more snow would make the photos better, but I don't think anyone really WANTS more snow haha

  13. This is so pretty! I love all those pastel layers. You are like an Easter cupcake here, it's awesome. Pastels are so perfect when there's snow on the ground.
