Oh deer

This might be one of my favorite outfits if only because I spotted this skirt at the start of summer and I wanted it, badly. But I just don't have it in me to drop $68 on anything. Fast forward to a week before Christmas when my sister found the skirt (again!), but for the steep price of $5.99. I was elated. I went with all black everything because sometimes my inner teenage goth really appreciates some attention and it makes me taller.

We had a late family Christmas this weekend (my mom + step-dad live out of town). It was so nice! My step-sister is a wonderful host and baker. I got some really nice makeup brushes and really AMAZING mascara. Any time I get makeup and free food, I'm a happy person.

Outfit Details:
Skirt: Macy's
Shirt: H&M (thrifted)
Tights: American Apparel
Boots: Kohl's
Belt: Thfited, gift from Taylor
Jacket: BB Dakota
Hat: Target

  1. $5.99 for this skirt?! That's a steal. What a markdown. It really brightens up the look & it's fun to wear flowers outside of spring.

  4. Ooohh, I love this sunflower skirt! I could never justify spending that much on a skirt either, so what an amazing deal. As much as I love pastels, I definitely live a lot of my life in all blacks :)

  6. There is nothing like that feeling of getting a sweet deal on something that you've been wanting. And it really is a fabulous piece. I love that you've mixed the prints - the sunflowers look great with your striped top. I'm sure your inner goth is very pleased to be let out in such a cool outfit.

  15. Thank you so much for your little encouraging comment on my blog! It really made me smile, and perhaps is the kick I need to go again. I've been finding it really hard to be motivated by blogging recently - many different reasons, (Mass Effect 2 for Christmas is totally one of them) but I really needed something to make me feel that there was a point to it, that someone noticed I was gone so thanks! (And I have a new pink leather jacket I totally need to photograph soon, which I partly believed in after the beauty of your white one)

You're looking awesome, and I do love how the flowers on the skirt go so well with the wintry plants behind you! :)
