Skelteon Key

Oh, how I've really missed thin tights and cropped cardigans. It's a simple way to look stylish and also weather appropriate. I found this awesome key printed dress at the thrift store in Cleveland. It's a little bit big on me, but nothing a belt can't fix. I'm always attracted to fun prints that aren't over the top quirky. This dress fits the bill.

There's always a chance when shopping second hand that the clothes aren't in perfect condition. It's a risk I am willing to take for pretty clothes sometimes. I rarely have any issues, but while wearing this dress the strap broke. Luckily, I was at home and no one got a show. The good news? I wanted to tighten the straps so the dress fit better. So, basically, it worked out in my favor.

Outfit Details:
Dress: Thrifted
Cardigan: Anthropolgie (given to me)
Tights: American Apparel
Shoes: ModCloth (Gift)
Belt: Gift

  1. This dress suits you so perfectly - I love the way you've picked out the deep pink in the pattern and matched it to your tights. I often look at your outfits and think I'm really not trying hard enough with my colours!!

    1. Aw thank you, CiCi! I feel like I spent the entire winter in muted tones and dark colors so it's nice to bust out the brightness again.

    1. I was at Plato's Closet today and found it as well...how is it that they're all around at the same time?!

  3. I'm such a fan of your print mixing! Love the dress and cardi together, such a fun outfit! Cool tights too! And damn I remember I used to own a similar pair of shoes but they were vintage (old) and broken and I had to bin them. Yours make me wish I still had them!

    1. They are amazing shoes! I wish these were vintage. It was a lovely gift to receive. But I feel your pain -- I've had so many vintage shoes disintegrate. Worst, ever!

    1. Most of them were given to me or from swaps. I'm working on wearing them because I do have so many. Next swap -- you must come and see the treasure trove of cardigans!

  7. This dress has an awesome print! Is it from H&M because I feel like I saw it there a couple years ago? It sucks that the strap broke but that's okay because you had to take it up anyway. I have to take up the straps in my dresses pretty often too.

P.S. I promise I'm sending back your fantastic galaxy print dress asap! I washed it and hung it up in the laundry room and forgot it was there because it was out of sight. I think I might need to get a galaxy dress of my own!

    1. It is absolutely from H&M! That's so funny you remember it. If you want to borrow it -- let me know. I actually found the same dress today at a Plato's Closet. The cycling of old fashion is so weird.

And no worries!! I don't mind at all. It's a pretty great dress that took a lot of convincing to get me to buy such a pricy item...
