Sculptures and Vandals

Band t-shirts are a "I want to look presentable, but also feel like wearing pajamas" kind of staple in my wardrobe. I wear them often because a) I have a zillion of them b) they're almost always comfortable c) I love music and d) They're super easy. Throw a band t-shirt on with a cute skirt and boom, instant nice outfit. As a short girl, however, I have a huge issue with band t-shirts. Bands have a thing for putting their logos at the bottom of their designs, printing only on unisex or men's shirts. Men's/Unisex shirts are basically dresses on me. Which is a REALLY long way of saying -- this shirt is absolutely perfect. I have never worn a shirt that fit me so incredibly well or felt so cozy. I'm fairly certain this shirt was 100% made entirely for me.

As an added bonus, the Menzingers are on of my all-time favorite bands. If you like high energy emotional semi-punk songs with powerful lyrics -- then you need them in your life.

This cardigan was a recent thrift store find. Not that I needed any more cardigans...but you know.

  2. I always default to band tees as well. I have so many. Most of them I got from actually seeing the band perform, but I have found a plethora of them thrifting as well. Can't go wrong with them in my book, except, as you state, that sometimes you are stuck with a men's size that is far too large.

  4. But, I'm sure you didn't have a cardigan in that EXACT color. In which case, you absolutely needed another one.

    Adorable as always <3

  6. I love pairing band tees (or just graphic tees in general) with skirts. I too hate when the print doesn't work well with high-waisted skirts. I also hate when there's a design that I really like, but it only comes in unisex. Unisex just doesn't work for me. >:|

  7. You can never have enough cardigans!! I hear you, sister! I have millions of band tees too and work them into my look as much as possible (my post coming out later today actually has a band tee in it). Yeah, I have a few shirts where the fit sucks bc it's mens or the logo is not in a ideal space. I've noticed most bands are getting more sensitive to women wanting shirts, but it's definitely still an uphill battle that I don't fully understand. You look great! XO

  11. I pretty much could've written everything you said about band t-shirts myself. You know they're one of my favorite things to wear too. Comfy and cute when paired with a fun skirt! Plus they easily transition to pajamas by taking off the skirt and putting on some lounge pants. Win! I, too, get sad when the graphic of my shirt is cut off because I'm so short. I'm kind of glad someone else understands that pain.

Also that cardigan is an awesome color and I wish I had one like it even though I have way too many cardigans too.
