After six months of growing out my hair, I woke up one Saturday morning and decided to chop it off. I tried and made it through some pretty awkward moments. But then I remembered that I have really thin, frizzy, dry -- but oily hair. Basically a nightmare for anything more than a pixie. I probably could've gone longer and tried to make it through the heat, but hey, a pixie feels good and it certainly looks good.

I've officially reached the point of summer where the humidity makes me want to cry and I'm tired of shaving my legs. So, here's to maxi skirts and soon-to-be cardigan weather.

Outfit Details:
Skirt: American Apparel
Top: Thrifted
Shoes: Payless
Necklace: HM

  1. I am in LOVE with that necklace! Super Super cute!

  2. If anyone is made to rock a pixie, it's you. Personally, I love pushing through those awkward growing out stages, but sometimes is a relief to just go for the chop.
Love the outfit, it's perfect for those last days of summer when you're ready to start heading into fall!

  3. I don't see you wear maxi skirts often, but you rock this one! I love the black against the pastel florals!

  4. I like the pixie haircut on you, it really fits you and looks nice :)
And like always I love the outfit! I really need to find more maxi skirts, all the ones I ever find at the store are way too long :(

    1. Thank you, lady! You have perfect hair!

  5. While it's fun to try something new with your hair if you've found what works for you then you might as well stick with it! I've always had long hair, but a friend of mine has had a variation of a pixie cut for years and says she can't stand the feeling of her hair reaching too far down her neck so different strokes for different folks.

    1. That's so true! It's hard 'cause I'm always interested in changing my hair!
